Motorway Retrograde Collection – Porsche GT3 RS
Exotic and extroverted, with promise of an intense and unforgettable driving experience; that is the essence of the Fourth Generation Porsche 991.1 GT3 RS, now available through our Motorway Premium Collection.
At the core if what the GT3 RS represents, is the purest form of “Rennsport”- German for Motor Racing. The GT3 RS is simply a road legal race car, a pure embodiment of balance between immense power and mind-boggling handling that inspires development of your own driving abilities. It is a car that is so advanced far beyond a point where most people can push it, and is an absolute dream machine for car enthusiasts and collectors all over the world, with roughly 3,000 units in existence.
Porsche’s motorsports success has been forged from the mantra of Ferry Porsche’s vision of building the ultimate sports cars, being at the forefront of technological innovation and engineering excellence; the GT3 RS is the perfect representation of all these qualities. The GT3 RS is powered by a highly strung DFI Flat-Six with around 500 horsepower of output that features airspace grade technology internally, producing the signature flat-six soundtrack that soars to an 8,800rpm redline for a surreal, resplendent experience at every single one of the 7 gears managed by a rapid-fire PDK double clutch gearbox.
The exterior of the GT3RS is quite distinctly race oriented or rather race derived, with the signature louvres above the front wheel arches encompassing the aircraft grade aluminium forged 20” wheels clad in sticky Michelin Cup 2 tyres, front splitter, air ducts and massive rear spoiler.
Each one of the vents, splitters and spoiler are not just for show, they are fully functional to generate down force to keep the car planted to the road along with the full suite of Porsche handling management technologies such as Porsche Stability Management (PSM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) all working in sync that inspires confidence behind the wheel. The rear wing alone generates around 220kg of down force at 300km/h. The body construction is a combination of aluminium; carbon and a roof made of magnesium that is just 0.3mm thick for added weight savings with the car weighing in at roughly 1420kg.
In the cabin of the GT3 RS the trim and layout is as close as it gets to a thoroughbred race car, the rear seats are stripped out for weight savings which doubles as a great storage option for your track safety attire and front seats are manufactured from carbon-fibre with alcantara upholstery and GT3 RS embroidery throughout to remind you of its pedigree. Basic creature comforts are still available such as air-conditioning and infotainment system, so that your commutes to the track or even to and from work a breeze.
The Porsche GT3 RS shares many of the same components and features as the race version.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a highly collectible and exclusive vehicle that is sure to continue to be a sought-after addition to any collection. Whether you’re a serious driving enthusiast, a collector, or simply someone who appreciates the finer things in life, the GT3 RS is a car that is sure to impress.
